Interview with Cai Yiming, founder of CREATE WORLD: Charting the course for next-gen 3D content with AI

CREATE WORLD’s AI-driven engine is revolutionizing 3D content creation, providing cost-effective and efficient solutions across various industries. The platform caters to a diverse audience, including professionals in smart cities, interior design, construction, gaming, and entertainment. With a mission to democratize 3D content creation, CREATE WORLD is set to launch its product online and in the cloud.

In this exclusive interview with BTW Media, Cai Yiming, the founder of CREATE WORLD, discusses the company’s innovative approach to transforming 3D content creation through advanced AI technology. By simplifying the generation of intricate 3D digital scenes, CREATE WORLD aims to make this technology accessible to users of all skill levels, from professionals to hobbyists.

Q1: Can you provide a brief overview of CREATE WORLD’s establishment and core services?

A: CREATE WORLD is an early-stage startup founded in May 2024. Our primary product is an AI-driven engine for generating three-dimensional digital worlds, which can be utilized in fields such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), the Metaverse, and industrial applications like smart cities and interior design. Essentially, we provide a platform for creating 3D scenes across various sectors.

Q:2: Who are your target markets and customer groups, and how do you promote your offerings?

A:Our target audience is broad, as we are developing a universal 3D generation engine. We envision a future where anyone can create scene-level 3D content as easily as composing text or taking photographs. While we aim for universal applicability, we are currently focusing on industries such as construction, smart cities, gaming, and entertainment. This approach allows us to complete tasks more efficiently and cost-effectively, enabling users to create their own 3D worlds.

Q:3: What competitive advantages does CREATE WORLD have over existing services?

A: Many companies providing scene-level modeling services rely on professional modellers using established software, resulting in high costs and lengthy processes. In contrast, our advantage lies in the fact that approximately 95% of the scene generation is powered by AI, allowing us to deliver results more rapidly and at a lower cost. This capability also supports quick 3D generation for social media.

Q:4: What technical innovations has CREATE WORLD achieved?

A:One of our key innovations is single-view 3D scene generation. We can transform a single-angle image—such as a casual photograph taken with a smartphone—into a fully realized three-dimensional digital representation. This output is in a standard format compatible with most software, and it can be further rendered into videos or images, enhancing user engagement and creativity.

Q:5: What are your short-term and long-term goals?

A: In the short term, we aim for steady growth as a young startup. Our long-term vision is to create a technological platform for the next era of digital worlds. We strive to lower the cost of 3D creation to the level of text and images, encouraging widespread participation in this industry. We are committed to establishing an ecosystem around 3D content creation, which remains our primary objective.

Q:6: What opportunities and challenges do you see for startups in the current market?

A: The challenges are considerable, particularly regarding financing, which has become more difficult. This may slow the pace of development for many startups. For CREATE WORLD, the challenge lies in effectively merging our R&D efforts with our business model. However, the rise of generative AI presents numerous opportunities, as established companies may be slower to adopt disruptive technologies, allowing startups like ours to explore innovative ventures.

Q7: As a relatively new startup founder, what experiences or advice would you share with aspiring entrepreneurs entering this industry?

A: While I’m still in the early stages of my own journey, I’ve gained valuable insights. One crucial skill for any entrepreneur, regardless of their background, is the ability to learn quickly. This realization has been significant for me over the past few months. Although I previously worked in research and believed I was a fast learner, I’ve discovered that entrepreneurship demands an even quicker pace of learning. It’s vital to engage with a wide range of content in a limited time and translate that knowledge into actionable insights for your business. Therefore, I believe that adaptability and a strong capacity for learning are essential for success in the entrepreneurial landscape.

8 Strategies for a Mental Refresh

Reviewed by Marney A. White, PhD, MS, Psychology — Authored by Crystal Raypole on November 11, 2020

Practice mindfulness, Begin journaling,  Listen to music,  Prioritize rest, Take a stroll, Organize your space, Allow your mind to wander, Discuss your feelings, Conclusion

Refreshing your mind when feeling stressed or stagnant can help eliminate the clutter of thoughts in your working memory, resulting in a clearer mental environment.

Imagine a desk overflowing with various projects, notes, and essential documents. When you need to retrieve specific information, this disarray can complicate your task.

In the same way, when distracting or negative thoughts accumulate in your mind, you may find yourself stuck in a loop of unproductive thinking.

Struggling to recall a memory or significant thought can lead to feelings of confusion and being overwhelmed. However, if your mind isn't functioning as effectively as it should, the following eight strategies may provide the relief you need.

Enhancing Mindfulness

Cultivating mindfulness can provide numerous advantages in your daily life.

Primarily, it enables you to remain engaged and attentive to your surroundings.

Being engaged allows you to focus entirely on a colleague as they guide you through a complex task, rather than being distracted by:

items to add to your to-do list

ingredients for dinner that you need to purchase later

the growing list of possible reasons why your recent date hasn’t reached out

By training yourself to concentrate on one task at a time, you can gently set aside those lingering thoughts. While they may still exist, they become less intrusive, allowing for a more peaceful mental state.

This approach can enhance your mental clarity, making experiences more fulfilling and less hurried.

Mindfulness meditation, in particular, can significantly improve your mindfulness and reduce stress by teaching you to acknowledge and release distracting thoughts.

However, even if meditation is not your preference, you can still practice mindfulness throughout your daily activities.

Here are some strategies:

Engage your senses. Fully immerse yourself in the sensory experiences of everyday tasks, no matter how trivial they may appear. While cleaning the shower, notice the texture of the sponge, the fragrance of the cleaner, and the smoothness of the tub. If you’re cycling to work, pay attention to the breeze on your skin, the various scents in different areas, and the sensations in your muscles as you pedal.

Concentrate on your breathing. When feelings of overwhelm arise, consciously slowing your breath can help you regain your footing and return to the present moment. Inhale deeply, hold for a few seconds, and then exhale slowly. Repeat this process ten times.

Maintain a sense of curiosity. Keeping an open mind about what you can learn from each situation can enhance your focus. When emotions surface, reflect on what may have triggered them.

Preview: Al Ettifaq vs. Al-Nassr - prediction, team news, lineups

Al-Ettifaq will put their perfect record on the line in the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League season this Friday night as they host Al-Nassr at the Al-Ettifaq Club Stadium for a gameweek four clash.

The hosts have secured a maximum of nine points from their first three matches, while the visitors have had a shaky start, accumulating only five points during the same stretch.

Al-Ettifaq were widely expected to challenge the PIF-owned club's dominance last season, but they fell short, finishing in sixth place and achieving only half of the 96 points earned by league winners Al-Hilal.

This season, however, the Knights of Ad-Dahna have made a strong start, winning 1-0 away at Al-Shabab, followed by another 1-0 victory over Al-Akhdoud, and a 2-1 triumph against Al-Fateh around the international break.

This promising beginning is crucial for Steven Gerrard after a disappointing first year in charge. His team has now won their opening three games for the first time since the 2011-12 season, when they won seven of their first ten matches and went undefeated during that stretch.

If Al-Ettifaq secures a victory against last season’s runners-up on Friday, it will mark the club's longest winning streak since they last won four consecutive games between October and November 2012.

While the hosts lost to Al-Nassr in their last two encounters, it’s notable that both defeats occurred in Riyadh. In Dammam, they remain unbeaten in their last three meetings, including a 2-1 league victory last season.

On the other hand, Al-Nassr have struggled early in the season, delivering some underwhelming performances and currently trailing the top three by four points.

In their first three league games, the Knights of Najd have managed draws against Al-Raed and Al-Ahli, with a win over Al-Fayha in between, and they recently played to another stalemate in their opening AFC Champions League fixture against Al-Shorta on Monday night.
