How to keep fit in Ramadan 2025

Staying fit during Ramadan requires a balance between fasting, physical activity, and proper nutrition. Here are some tips to help you maintain your fitness during the month:

  1. Adjust Workout Timing:

    • Before Suhoor: If you're an early riser, doing a light workout before suhoor can help energize you for the day ahead.
    • After Iftar: This is often the best time to exercise, as you have the energy from the food you've consumed. Aim for light to moderate activities like walking, jogging, or strength training.
  2. Stay Hydrated:

    • Drink plenty of water between Iftar and Suhoor to stay hydrated. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, muscle cramps, and decreased performance.
    • Avoid caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea, as they can dehydrate you.
  3. Eat Balanced Meals:

    • Suhoor: Include complex carbs (whole grains, oats, etc.), lean proteins (eggs, yogurt), and healthy fats (avocados, nuts) to provide lasting energy throughout the day.
    • Iftar: Break your fast with a light meal (like dates, soup, and water), then follow up with a balanced dinner that includes lean protein, vegetables, and whole grains.
  4. Focus on Strength Training:

    • During fasting, it might be challenging to do intense cardio, but strength training can help maintain muscle mass. Use lighter weights or bodyweight exercises like push-ups, squats, and lunges.
  5. Avoid Overeating:

    • After fasting all day, it's tempting to overeat at Iftar, but this can lead to sluggishness and digestive discomfort. Focus on eating smaller, balanced meals to avoid feeling too full.
  6. Get Enough Sleep:

    • Adequate rest is essential to maintain energy levels. Make sure to prioritize sleep by taking naps or adjusting your bedtime to accommodate early morning prayers and fasting.

  7. Listen to Your Body:

    • If you feel fatigued or unwell, it's okay to scale back your workouts or take rest days. Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection and physical well-being, so don’t push yourself too hard.

By adjusting your exercise routine, focusing on nutrition, and ensuring proper rest and hydration, you can stay fit during Ramadan while respecting the unique challenges of fasting.

Baby health advise 2025

When it comes to baby health, there are several key areas to focus on to ensure they grow and develop properly. Here are some important tips:

  1. Breastfeeding: If possible, breastfeeding is highly recommended during the first six months of life. It provides essential nutrients and boosts the baby's immune system. If breastfeeding isn't an option, infant formula is a good alternative.

  2. Vaccinations: Keep up with the vaccination schedule as recommended by your pediatrician. Vaccines protect babies from serious diseases and help ensure their overall health.

  3. Sleeping Safety: Always place your baby on their back to sleep, in a crib or bassinet with a firm mattress and no soft bedding to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

  4. Tummy Time: Giving your baby supervised tummy time helps build their muscles, promotes motor development, and reduces the risk of flat spots on the head.

  5. Regular Check-ups: Schedule regular pediatric visits to monitor growth, track milestones, and address any concerns. Early detection of health issues can lead to better outcomes.

  6. Hygiene: Keeping the baby clean is essential. Gently wash your baby's face and body with warm water and mild soap. Don’t forget about the diaper area to prevent rashes.

  7. Healthy Diet for Mom: If breastfeeding, eating a well-balanced diet is crucial for the baby’s health. Moms should ensure they are getting enough nutrients, including protein, calcium, and iron.

  8. Environmental Health: Keep your baby's environment smoke-free. Avoid exposure to secondhand smoke, chemicals, or other environmental pollutants.

  9. Baby-proofing: As babies grow and begin to explore, baby-proofing your home to prevent accidents becomes increasingly important. This includes securing furniture, electrical outlets, and keeping small objects out of reach.

  10. Hydration: Ensure your baby stays hydrated, especially during warmer months. For babies under six months, breast milk or formula is usually enough, but older babies may also need water.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with regular check-ups and proper care, ensures your baby develops physically and emotionally in the best possible way. Always consult with a healthcare professional if you have any specific concerns or questions about your baby's health.
